PinkThumb Extension - How to Protect Your Identity Online
There are many ways to protect your identity online. For example, you can use a VPN, the internet service of the VPN provider, or even use the VPN service of your mobile phone carrier. But what if you are on a public computer or have no internet connection? What if you want to share secrets only to a trusted website? What if you want to make sure that the website that you are browsing is a trusted one?
You can do this with a software solution called PinkThumb. It is based on a virtual browser window that checks the URL of a website before opening it in your web browser. If the URL in the URL field of the virtual browser matches a URL in the trusted website list, then the browser window is opened.
By installing the PinkThumb extension, you can configure the list of websites that are allowed to pass your secrets on to the server. The only problem is that the configuration of the trusted websites is not really done with an online method. So if you update your trusted websites list, you will have to install the extension again.
